JBMTI has long-admired the work of Roots of Empathy, an amazing organization in Canada bringing the importance of social-emotional resilience in individuals and communities to the fore.

Roots of Empathy was founded in 1996 by Mary Gordon, "an internationally recognized educator, social entrepreneur, author and child advocate>" The organization's mission is to change the world, "child-by-child."
