Kate Price, M.A.Project Associate at the Jean Baker Miller Training InstituteKate has been with JBMTI since 2010. As project associate, she manages office operations and collaborations, including fiscal oversight. Kate is also responsible for marketing, networking, and strategic planning. Additionally, Kate is a social scientist specializing in the cultural constructions of childhood. Working at JBMTI is her "dream job," in that she can join her passion for Relational-Cultural Theory and her long-standing commitment to women’s-centered education. Her B.A. in Environmental Education is from Lesley College and her M.A. in Gender and Cultural Studies is from Simmons College. Prior to joining JBMTI, Kate held positions at Simmons, Radcliffe and Harvard Colleges, and Harvard Business School. She has spoken on child prostitution in the United States at Georgetown University Law School, Suffolk University, University of Toledo, and numerous non-profit organizations. Kate has served as a Big Sister with the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston, and as a foster parent through the MA Department of Children and Families and The Home for Little Wanderers. She authored a chapter, "Collapsing This Hushed House: Deconstructing Cultural Images of Child Prostitution in the United States" included in the textbook Global Perspectives on Prostitution and Sex Trafficking: Europe Latin America, North America, and Global.
